The Trouble With Pioneering…
… Is that you have no roadmap to follow. No guru to copy. No steps to success to lean on. No, it’s just you. And your mission. And your passion. And your Comforter, the Holy Spirit.
The most popular blogs that I’ve read over the past three years have been “How to Succeed at Blogging, SEO, or Social Media” types. At least a handful of these were pioneers, plowing ground no one else had plowed, with no certainty that it would yield sufficient fruit.
Forest or Trees?
I spent too much time focused on the minutiae, such as how to write compelling titles and how to get retweets. These are useful tips, but they pale in comparison to determining the big picture strategy: type of content you’re going to produce, the voice and tone you’re going to present it with, and the level of transparency you’ll offer.
Many bloggers mention strategy but slowly drown out their message over time in the plethora of recommended tactics.
To my knowledge, there are no mega star prophetic blogs at this stage. There are prophetic people who blog, obviously. At least a few of whom have national or global reaching ministries. But the blog is treated more as an afterthought.
Or it presents a different perspective than the majority of their teachings. Or they simply don’t understand the technology well enough to have a blog. Or they don’t see the point of offering free content.
I don’t know of any prophetic voices who are utilizing the blog as their hub. As home base.
There is no one to follow. No one with a well-laid plan you can tweak and use as your own. There is what you feel called to do, and there’s everyone else. And, with some serious prayer, you will decide for yourself what approach you will take and which soil you will till.

Sounds like you are in the perfect place to rely on God. He will get His message to those who need to hear it. As He often reminds me, just record what He reveals and let the Holy Spirit work out the rest. Peace…
